In the final game of boys volleyball, Vancouver Island-Central Coast (Zone 6) won gold over Fraser Valley (Zone 3) two games to one. The victory for Vancouver Island came after a tough fight for first place. But, more important to them, they defeated their biggest rival. Coach Rick Wutzke said it’s the first time his team won against Fraser Valley, making the importance of this title is even greater.

“The tournament here at the BC Summer Games was fabulous, the game was very exciting and the rivalry between us and Fraser Valley make it even more exciting,” said coach Wutzke.
