fhff logo elite logoThis holiday season, ELITE(@elitevan) and FHFF (@fiveholeforfood) will be teaming up to host a community Christmas dinner for those less fortunate in order to spread some Christmas cheer. The event takes place Dec 19 and will consist of a dinner, a visit from Santa Claus, and of course gifts for all the kids! A huge thanks to some key community figures that are supporting the cause, as well as the Surrey Christmas Bureau who is onboard with the project.

ELITE, Engaging Leadership In Teens Everywhere, hosts an annual leadership conference focused on empowering high school youth to become difference-makers in the community by thinking outside the box. The conference started 7 years ago and to date has helped motivate over 3000 high school kids in the Lower Mainland and Calgary. This past August, some of the leaders of ELITE took our program to a whole new level by introducing the ELITE Mentorship Program to mentor orphans overseas. This Christmas we will be spreading Christmas cheer locally giving back to those less fortunate in our own community.

scb-logo1“One person can’t do everything, but everyone can do something.” By hosting such an event we can see how so little can make a huge difference, and bring smiles to many individuals and families.  If this became an ongoing trend, you can imagine how many more families can be supported.
